The Horticulture Research Institute (HRI)
supports research by awarding competitive grants to
scientists conducting applied horticulture research. The
Institute has funded over $2 million in research grants.
Spring Meadow
is a proud supporter of HRI.
The Spring
Meadow Fund is a $200,000 Gold Circle HRI fund which provides grants to
researchers working on the development of new ornamental plants. New varieties
keep our industry exciting and profitable! That’s why Spring Meadow Nursery,
and many of our customers, support this HRI (Horticultural Research Institute) administered fund.
This unique
fund is supported by voluntary contributions of 1/4 of 1% added to your Spring
Meadow invoice. For each dollar we receive, Spring Meadow Nursery makes a total
HRI contribution of three times this amount to further support new plant
research.
The Spring Meadow Scholarship
Endowment
Recognizing the
importance of well trained, qualified people to the nursery industry, Spring
Meadow Nursery has initiated a new $20,000
HRI scholarship endowment. The Spring
Meadow Scholarship Endowment is one of several HRI scholarship funds set up
under the newly created ANLA National
Scholarship Endowment. Aspiring
horticulturists will be able to make one application to HRI and be eligible for
all scholarships granted by the National Scholarship Endowment. Our industry needs the best and brightest minds.
Contact Spring Meadow or
HRI to find out how your company can be apart of
this exciting new scholarship program.
