 North Star   Buxus 'Katerberg'  pp#15,988, cbraf

 

A superb new hardy boxwood with a dense globe shape that requires little if any pruning.

Use it as a low mounded specimen or use it  form a low, dense, thick hedge. Either way you won't have to do much pruning to get a full, dense plant.

North Star has shiny dark leaves that maintain good winter color.

Hardiness: USDA Zone 5 -7

Bloom Time: Not applicable

Size: 2 to 3 feet high and  wide with age. Easy to prune to size desired.

Exposure: Full sun to shade

Soil: Adaptable to many soils, very drought tolerant

Use NORTH STAR as a low-growing hedge, or even to create the borders of a formal herb garden.  It’s a beautiful evergreen that will provide four seasons of enjoyment in the landscape.
